We took the kids to the preschool skate at the local roller rink on Thursday.  It was so cute.  I love seeing tiny kids in tiny skates.  Aria and Dominic were fierce because they’ve been taking ice skating lessons.  We all had tons of fun!

That is corn silk. 

We are going to have 1 single corn from our little “crab grass” cornstalk. 

I get a very huge kick out of it.  I can’t really explain it.  It’s like, HA, universe.  Something I saved DOES have some worth.  I didn’t even mean to do it but I feel like it is some kind of triumph for my silly heart that doesn’t like to hurt anything ever.  Okay yeah yeah it is one ear of corn.  And corn is SO abundant.  But it is OUR ear of corn and you can bet we will all watch it grow with anticipation. 

I know I know I know I am very ridiculous.  I will try to make this my last post about the cornstalk.

So I am trying it out. I have not been thrilled with LJ lately. I hate to abandon it but so few people use it and it keeps doing annoying glitchy things. So let’s see how I like tumblr.

On Saturday, Ty took the girls to the store, and I took just Dominic for a little while. The plan was for me to walk with Dominic to Biggby and the girls and Ty would meet us there when they were done at the store. Dominic just always has so much energy, and I rarely get any time with just him.

I definitely need to make more time to be with just Dominic. He is like a completely different kid when his sisters aren’t around. We did not make it to Biggby because we got so distracted walking through the park that by the time we got to the other side of the park, Ty and the girls had arrived in the van. Ty ended up taking just Luisa to Biggby, but he picked up drinks for all of us.

It was such a nice, relaxing time. Here are some pictures.

He spotted these wildflowers. They were all over the closer we got to the pond. There was a monarch butterfly, too, but I couldn’t get close enough.

He had so much fun climbing on the rocks :)
